Assistant Objects Conservator

A full-time Assistant Objects Conservator is required for 12 months
starting November 2004 through October 2005. The job will entail the
treatment of freshly excavated artifacts from the 2004 and 2005
excavations, as well as, the re-treatment of objects from storage.
The collection consists of artifacts from the Neolithic period to
the present with the current excavations concentrating on the Roman
and Byzantine periods.

The candidate must hold a Master of Art Conservation degree, or the
equivalent, and have experience working with a range of
archaeological materials. Practical experience in the conservation
of inorganic archaeological materials, particularly ceramics and
copper alloys, is required.
