We are looking to appoint to two posts who will support the work of
the Conservation and Collection Care department in its forthcoming
work programme.  These posts are for a duration of 6 months and will
be based at the Museum of London.

Conservator (Objects)
Museum of London
Salary UKP20,925 - UKP25,374 per annum pro rata.
35 hours per week.

    An objects Conservator is required to support the Department's
    work for the Museum of London's Medieval gallery refurbishment
    project, due for completion in October 2005. The post will be
    based within Applied Arts, working on a wide range of materials
    and on other practical and preventive conservation care
    projects. You will hold a recognised qualification in a relevant
    branch of objects conservation with hands on, practical
    experience and an up to date knowledge of materials and

Conservator (Textiles)
Salary UKP20,925 - UKP25,374 per annum pro rata.
21 hours per week.

    We are also seeking a part-time Textile Conservator to undertake
    practical and preventive conservation work on a wide range of
    textile and related objects from the Museum's collections for
    display, loan and study purposes.  The Museum of London has one
    of the finest collections of costume and other textiles in the
    world, offering a wide range of challenges.  You will hold a
    recognised qualification in textile conservation, with a minimum
    of 2 years experience in the field.

    participate in cross-disciplinary projects and collections care
