Motorized wheel chairs

What policies do public art galleries have regarding visitors with
motorised wheel chairs?  Given the great differences in user's
ability to control motorised wheel chairs, are institutions making
distinctions between those motorised wheel chair bound visitors
obviously with very good control of their machines and those who
appear to have poor control?  Have institutions recently had either
people or objects seriously damaged in incidents with motorised
wheel chairs?
