Course on bleaching techniques for paper conservators

The use of bleaching treatments in paper conservation A variety of
bleaching methods can be used to treat discoloured and stained
paper. These methods will be reviewed in the context of existing and
current conservation theory and practices. The course will focus on
practical applications of different bleaching techniques--both
localized and overall treatments. Participants will perform, compare
and evaluate the techniques. The goal of the course is to provide an
update overview of the use of bleaching treatments in paper
conservation.
