National Museum of Fine Arts, Sweden

The National Museum of Fine Arts is situated in Stockholm, Sweden
and has approximately 150 employees. The Museums collection of
Prints and Drawings includes an important collection of European old
master drawings and European architectural drawings. It is
considered one of the ten major collections in the world in this
field. It is the object of extensive art historical research by
Swedish as well as international scholars.

We are looking for a conservator to work with  a specific part of
the collection of Prints and Drawings. The project includes both to
undertake practical conservation and preventive work. Another task
will be the preparation for a coming exhibition (March 2005), and
will involve making condition reports and conservation treatment on
incoming loans.

Applicants should have a recognized qualification in paper
conservation and at least two years of work experience. Broad
knowledge in conservation of 18th and 19th centuries print and
drawings is required. Previous experience in the conservation
aspects of exhibitions is desirable. Non-Swedish applicants should
be able to communicate in Swedish, Danish or Norwegian.
