Filling oil on copper

I would like to have advice on infilling for oil on copper. It is a
XVI century painting, the technique is oil on copper, quite damaged
and there are both large and tiny losses. The color film is stable
as well as the edges of the losses.

Any advice from somebody who has experience with this medium will be
greatly appreciated.
