The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is posting the following two
positions:

Conservation Technician--Objects

The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is seeking applicants for the
position of conservation technician in the objects laboratory. The
technician carries out the examination and treatment of artifacts in
the objects collection, and prepares treatment reports and
photographic documentation. The technician operates under the
supervision of the Conservator, Objects and Metals.

Candidates should possess an elementary knowledge of conservation
and objects collections; experience in handling museum objects;
motor coordination and manual dexterity to apply relevant
conservation treatments; communication skills, both oral and
written: generally gained through an undergraduate degree in
conservation or a related field plus one year of experience as a
conservation technician or equivalent technical education or
experience.

This position is full time hourly and benefits eligible.
