Photograph Conservator Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory An entry level photograph conservator is required to work on photographs damaged in a flood. The conservator will assess damaged collection items in the context of the entire collection, establish significance and uniqueness of damaged items in the context of family history and the remainder of the collection, establish priorities and perform treatments. The conservator must abide by the American Institute for Conservation Code of Ethics and comply with Federal and state health and safety rules and regulations. Experience in collections assessment and treatment of photographs required. This is a twelve week (480 hours) position funded through a State grant. This is a State of Maryland contract position. There are no benefits. Salary: $14.66/hour. Position to start on or about June 16, 2004.
