Subject: Bay Area Art Conservation Guild
The next meeting of the Bay Area Art Conservation Guild (BAACG) is Saturday, May 15th, 11am-1pm at the City College of San Francisco, Science Building, San Francisco. The three-story Science Building is home to a series of murals commissioned thru the Art In Action program of the 1940 Golden Gate International Exposition. Two Frederick E. Olmsted 1941 murals ("Theory" and "Science") were conserved in 2002. Other murals located in the building are mosaic murals by Herman Volz and the Pan American Unity fresco by Diego Rivera.The walk-thru will be led by Will Maynez of CCSF.
