8th International Conference on "Non-Destructive Investigations and
Microanalysis for the Diagnostics and Conservation of the Cultural
and Environmental Heritage"
Lecce
May 15-19, 2005

The organizers are:

    *   the Italian Society of Non-Destructive Testing Monitoring
        Diagnostics - (AIPnD)

    *   the Central Institute of Restoration (I.C.R.) of the
        Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities

    *   the Department of Materials Science of the University of
        Lecce

Lecce is a lively and beautiful baroque city in the South of Italy,
with many lovely religious buildings, enchanting palaces and
dwellings that are ornamented in sculptured local white stone. It is
a most refined meeting place and a city made to be enjoyed in every
corner. Lecce expresses a fascinating and surprising history and to
visit this city is to experience exciting emotions.

The topics of the Conference concern the applications and techniques
of non-destructive investigations, monitoring, microanalysis and
testing of works of art of any kind, material or period for
historical research, restoration and conservation. Moreover,
physical-chemical investigations applied to environments of museums,
archaeological sites and historical centres of conservation.

Deadlines
Expiry dates are:
    for sending abstracts: July 31, 2004
    for sending contributions: December31,  2004
