Printed on Paper: The techniques, history and conservation of printed media Northumbria University, Newcastle-upon-Tyne September 5-7, 2007 The conference is a coordinated effort by the AIC Book and Paper Group and the MA Conservation of Fine Art, School of Arts and Social Sciences, Northumbria University. The purpose of this conference will be to bring together an international group of professionals who study and care for printed media including conservators, curators, historians, and librarians. The conference will present a broad view of printed media on paper. Possible subjects include artworks, commercial processes, maps, illustrations, prints that imitate photographs, text, and computer generated media. In addition to historic and modern printing techniques and materials, presentations will explore the use and conservation of printed media.
