Project manager National Library of Medicine Our client, a government contractor, seeks applicants for the full-time position of on-site Project Manager for a microfilm preparation contract with a prestigious government library in the Washington, DC area. The Project Manager's duties include supervising a staff of technicians who collate volumes page-by-page, request replacements for missing pages and issues, prepare targets, program reels, and update bibliographic and holdings records. In addition, the Project Manager maintains a tracking database of work in progress, compiles data for invoices, and is responsible for quality assurance. Minimum requirements for the Project Manager are a Master's Degree in Library Science and at least three years of relevant experience within the last six years in managing projects related to preservation microfilming, collection maintenance, or library technical services.
