NCPTT 2004 Summer Internships The National Center for Preservation Technology and Training announces 2004 Summer Internships within the Materials Research Program. NCPTT seeks applications from qualified undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants may focus on cemetery preservation training or materials testing. Interns that choose cemetery preservation training may focus on curriculum development of a weeklong workshop for trainers. Interns that choose materials testing may undertake research on the (1) vitrification of terrazzo flooring, (2) development of new stone consolidants, or (3) testing the interaction of air pollution with conservation treatments for limestone and marble. Internships are ten weeks in length beginning June 2004.
