Auckland Museum is offering a 12 month fixed term contract for a

include ethnographic, applied arts and history artefacts, natural
history specimens and a small collection of paintings and drawings.
Other key tasks include the preparation of objects for exhibition
and the documentation and packing of collection loans.

Applicants should have a tertiary qualification in objects
conservation and at least 3 years work experience. You will need a
sound working knowledge of collection storage methods / materials
and environmental control techniques, together with excellent
communication skills and an enthusiastic attitude to teamwork.
Familiarity with conservation treatment of a wide range of object
materials would also be an advantage.
