Polyethylene glycol and leather

Has anyone experimented with rinsing PEG 400 from leather? My
artifact is leather and has been in PEG 400 for three weeks. I am
not sure how to gauge if I have rinsed it enough. My pattern is to
rinse the leather three times on both sides with a Prophyjet. This
seems to be sufficient, but I don't know if it is too little or too
much. Does anyone have a "tried and true" method? Thanks.
