Call for papers--ICOM-CC Education and Training Working Group

From: Joan Reifsnyder <jmreif>
Date: Friday, February 27, 2004
The next Interim Meeting of the ICOM-CC Working Group on Education
and Training will be held October 1-3, 2004 at the EVTEK Institute
of Art and Design/Department of Conservation Studies in Vantaa,
Finland.

The theme of the meeting will be "Conservation Education--A Changing
Environment". Points of interest are (but not limited to):

    E-learning
    Distance learning
    Internships
    Continual Professional Development (CPD) courses
    Workshops

Changes (closures, funding cut-backs, etc.) have marked some of the
'traditional' programs in the past few years. We are interested in
hearing about and discussing the results of these changes, and new
directions taken as a result.

We would also like increase conservation student (current or recent)
participation in the meeting. There will be a poster session
concurrent to the meeting, and poster proposals--especially from
students--on aspects of their changing education, are encouraged.

The deadline for paper presentation abstracts (300 words + a brief
biography), or poster proposals is 2 April 2004. Notification to
authors for accepted papers is 15th of April 2004. Electronic
submission in WORD format (photos in JPEG) preferred.
