The 5th Washington Conservation Guild meeting of the 2003-2004
season will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2004 at the National
Museum of Women in The Arts.  This will be our annual meeting
highlighting Intern Talks.  The speakers and titles are:

    "Testing portable x-ray fluorescence spectrum analyzer
    applications on a Reverse Glass Painting"
    Sarah Eleni Pinchin
    Paintings Conservation Fellow at the Smithsonian Center for
    Materials Research and Education

    "Renaissance Waxes:  The Examination of Three Wax Objects at the
    Walters"
    Megan Emery
    Third year Intern at the Walters Art Museum

    "A Late 17th century Portable Sundial:  Its History and
    Conservation"
    Susan Costello
    Third year Intern at the Walters Art Museum

Location:  National Museum of Women in The Arts.  Entrance at 1250
New York Ave, at 13th St.   Closest Metro is McPherson Square or
Metro Center.  (both on blue and orange lines)

Reception:  5 pm
Lectures  5:45 pm
