National Gallery of Ireland

The National Gallery of Ireland invites applicants for the post of
Assistant Paper Conservator.

The function of the Paper Conservation Department is the care and
preservation of over 8000 works of art on paper and miniatures in
the Gallery collection in addition to the archive collection and
photographs.

The person appointed will assist in all the routines of the
department under the direction of the Acting Head of Paper
Conservation, including the preparation, condition reporting and
mounting of artworks for exhibitions and loans.

Requirements for the post are:

    *   A professional qualification in paper conservation
    *   A minimum of three years experience in the field of paper
        conservation

Experience of museum/exhibition work would be and advantage.

This post is on a Fixed Term Contract for 1 year.
