The National Park Service Museum Management Program tested several
different brands of filtering film two years ago. The results of our
tests are included in Conserve O Gram 3/10 "Choosing UV-Filtering
Films"

Of the films that we tested, only five filtered out all UV:

Solar Screen's Clear EZ Bond and KoolVue Industrial Strength

    Sun Gard's NRW100WHITE-OUT DPS

    Madico's SDSS-330-X and TSG-550

Note: We are in the process of updating this publication as the
samples that 3M provided to us lacked the adhesive (which contains
their filtering media). None of the new 3M sample films blocked all
UV but several filtered to 20 microwatts per lumen or less. We hope
to have the revision printed in Spring 2004.
