The cyclododecane shouldn't be able to sublimate through a layer of metal foil and a layer of wax. How about wrapping the objects coated with cyclododecane, in a package of polyethylene foil and aluminum foil, and putting onto the aluminum foil a fixing coating of wax, e.g Cosmoloid H80 or Paraffin? The melting point of the wax of course should be lower than the 61 deg. C of cyclododecane while application. The foils work as a separation layer, it should be possible to take off the wax later easily--as well as the aluminum foil (in case you want to make some x-rays).
