Paintings Conservator Stichting Kollektief Restauratieatelier Amsterdam (SKRA) (EU and Switzerland) The SKRA (Stichting Kollektief Restauratieatelier Amsterdam) was founded in 1983 as an independent studio for the conservation and restoration for mainly easel paintings (15th to 21st century). It works mainly for public institutions (ca. 20 musea) in the Netherlands and undertakes various activities concerning conservation management, research projects and education. The "Kollektief" consists of a team of eleven employees. The SKRA is offering a position for a conservator from January 1, 2004 or sooner on a one-year based contract (with possibility of prolongation). The applicant must be graduated in paintings conservation from a recognised training program and should have adequate work experience from museums and/or institutions similar to SKRA. He/she should be able to work independently and as part of a team, have good social skills and pragmatic and flexible attitude.
