The Library Conservation Unit is a regional centre for paper-based
materials and is housed in a  purpose-built studio.  This full-time
post offers a stimulating opportunity to work on significant
collections of rare books from a huge range of sources.  There are
also opportunities for supervising conservation interns.  The
appointed conservator will join the existing staff of paper
conservators working in a dynamic and friendly atmosphere.

Minimum requirements for applicants are a qualification in book or
paper conservation, together with a demonstrated ability in the
conservation of rare books. PACR accreditation is desirable.
Self-motivation and enthusiasm are essential. The post is for one
year in the first instance.
