Seminar on audiovisual materials

On Friday, December 05, 2003, Sterling Memorial Library, Yale
University Archives, will be co sponsoring  SAA's "Preservation
Management of Machine-Based Audiovisual Collections".  This one day
seminar is for archive administrators, oral historians, archivists,
media librarians, stock footage collections staff, and preservation
managers who are charged with the management of a machine-based
audiovisual collection (motion picture films, sound recordings,
videotapes).  It provides an overview of the technical nature of the
various media, the problems that can arise, and presents the most
