VAT. Lunch included. On Friday, November 28, 2003 the final results of the EU project PaReLa will be presented during the symposium "Paper Restoration using Lasersb". The aim of this symposium is to provide insights and conclusions on the application of laser technology as an innovative conservation tool for paper cleaning. The PaReLa project (Paper Restoration using Laser technology) has as main objective the development a laser cleaning system suitable for accurate and safe restoration of paper objects. This research project was co-funded by the European Commission (CRAFT contract number EVK4CT-2000-3002). The research was carried out from September 2001 until November 2003 by a consortium consisting of 4 scientific research institutes and 10 Small and Medium Enterprises composed of private conservators and conservation workshops.
