Summer Internship American Museum of Natural History Natural Sciences Conservation The Natural Sciences Conservation Laboratory of the American Museum of Natural History is offering a 10 week summer internship for a graduate or advanced level student in conservation or a related field. The internship will focus on the conservation and preservation of natural science specimens and will involve the student in all current lab activities. Such activities include: applying a risk assessment model to the scientific collections, researching the long term stability of current specimen preparation techniques, developing new approaches to specimen preparation, treating special collections, and developing standards for the long term preservation of scientific collections. Specific interests of the selected applicant can also be accommodated. A stipend will be provided as support over the 10 week period.
