Subject: Mogens S. Koch receives DGPh Cultural Award
The DGPh Cultural Award 2003 goes to Wim Wenders and Mogens S. Koch Distinction for a great filmmaker and photographer as well as for a photo conservator and untiring teacher of international acclaim This year the Deutsche Gesellschaft f|r Photographie (German Photographic Society) (DGPh) will be presenting its cultural award to two personalities who have accomplished a great deal for photography in very different ways through their outstanding work using this medium. The prominent award this year honors the work and achievements of the great filmmaker and photographer, Wim Wenders, as well as the internationally renowned photo conservator and teacher, Mogens S. Koch, from Copenhagen. With its Cultural Award, which was founded in 1958, the DGPh has distinguished scientists, investors, writers, publishers, editors, lecturers, art directors or important photographers since 1959. The award comprises a gold-mounted lens designed by Prof. Ewald Matari as well as a certificate.
