Monitoring exposure to organic solvents during conservation treatments

From: Alan Phenix <alan.phenix>

In preparation for a publication, I am trying to collect information
on the levels of organic solvent vapours that may actually be
generated in the air during various conservation treatments,
particularly those in paintings conservation/restoration. I am
aware of various approaches aimed at estimating the likely exposure
hazard presented by various solvents, but I have found only a very
small number of reports of monitoring of actual solvent vapour
levels in connection with conservation operations.

I would be interested to hear if Cons DistList users know of any
such surveys of solvent exposure monitoring in Conservation, and
would be happy to exchange information with correspondents.
