Advance Notice: Last Programme of Photographic Conservation Professional Development Training from The Centre for Photographic Conservation The year April 2004 - April 2005 will see the last programme of Professional Development Courses to be offered by The Centre for Photographic Conservation, London, England. The Centre for Photographic Conservation is a private conservation and preservation resource, which receives no grant/external funding from any source. The Centre's Research, Collections and the Library are funded entirely from the commercial activities of The Centre. The training courses are a 'not for profit' activity of The Centre and are part of its Research remit. Since 1982 The Centre for Photographic Conservation has run an annual programme of professional development training courses, taught by Ian L. Moor and Angela H. Moor, for conservation and other moveable heritage professionals. Duration of the Courses range from: two-day theoretical courses up to a seven-week Certificated Workshop. Courses range from basic introduction to preservation and conservation of photographic materials up to MASTER-CLASS workshops for experienced conservation professionals. >From 2005 the research focus of The Centre will concentrate on streamlining the Conservation Treatments Archive and cataloguing and preserving its Photographic Collections: The CPC Teaching Collection and the Moor Private Collection and the Research Library.
