documentali, Spoleto, Italy, is pleased to announce the organization
of the

"Workshop on iron-gall ink corrosion"
April 21-23-2004
Tutors: Han Neevel and Birgit Reissland, Institute Collectie of
Nederland

This three-day workshop of interactive theory and practical sessions
is designed for those concerned with problems involving iron-gall
ink corrosion. The workshop will run from the manufacture and the
chemistry of iron-gall inks to an overview of different conservation
treatments, including calcium phytate.

Workshop in English with translation in Italian language.
Cost: EURO 400 (materials and course notes included).
Maximum number of participants: 20
