Fellowship at Vienna University of Technology Institute for Chemical Technologies and Analytics Vienna University of Technology At the Institute for Chemical Technologies and Analytics at the Vienna University of Technology <URL:http://www.fch.akbild.ac.at/linke/linke.html> the position of a chemist or conservation scientist is available: Within a project, funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), analytical investigations will be carried out dealing with the chemical ageing processes of natural organic binding media in works of art. Techniques employed include GC, GC/MS and FTIR-microscopy. The applicant should have a master degree in organic chemistry, preferably analytical chemistry, and should ideally be experienced in the field of organic analysis of historic binding media in works of art. Experience in GC and GC/MS is an absolute prerequisite; Py-GC/MS and FTIR are desired. Further information on request.
