30th Annual CAC Conference and Workshop Theme: Unusual materials, unconventional treatments Quebec City, Canada May 25-30, 2004 The Canadian Association for Conservation of Cultural Property is pleased to invite you to its 30th Annual Conference and Workshop in Quebec City, Canada, from May 25-30, 2004 <URL:http://www.cac-accr.ca/econf.html> . The Workshop will be held at the Musee national des beaux-arts du Quebec, followed by the Conference at the Musee de la civilisation. Both events will offer simultaneous translation in English and French. This two-day workshop will be held from May 25-27, 2004 and will provide a forum where museum professionals, conservators and educators can share ideas and learn about treatments that explore uncharted territories. The goal of this workshop is to draw information from past experiences that required unconventional treatment solutions or new approaches for packing, display, and storage of objects or works of art. Workshop content will be delivered as case studies, group-discussions and panel presentations. The Conference will be held from May 28 to 30, 2004. Abstracts on all aspects of conservation are invited. In addition to formal papers, submissions for posters and video presentations are also welcomed. Abstract Format: Abstracts for conference presentations must be between 300-500 words written in English with French translation if available. Presentations should last no longer than twenty minutes. Poster and video presentations must use a maximum space of three feet wide by four feet high. Please include the title of the presentation, name(s) of the author(s), mailing address, telephone and Fax: numbers, e-mail addresses, name of the presenter and the required AV material.
