Subject: Washington Conservation Guild
The first Washington Conservation Guild meeting of the 2003-2004 season will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2003 at the Library of Congress. The speaker will be Virginia Greene, the Conservator of Objects at the University of Pennsylvania Museum. The topic with which Ginny will regale us will be "My Life in Conservation". The Library of Congress is located at 1st and Independence Ave. SE. The meeting will be held in the Madison Building in the West Dining Rm. on the 6th floor. The closest Metro on the blue/orange line is Capitol South; exiting here walk north on 1st St. SE. Turn rt. on Independence Ave., enter the main Madison Bldg. doors. On the red line Union Station Metro is a 15 min. walk south on 1st St. SE, ,cross Independence Ave., Madison Bldg. is on the left.
