Derain

I have recently been sent a photograph of a landscape painting which
it is suggested is by Andre Derain, although it is not signed.

It is painted on a fibreboard stamped on the reverse with the head
of a billygoat with the following inscription: CARTONS A PEINDRE "LE
BELIER" F / SIMILUX.

Does anyone know when this type of board was first produced or
whether there are other examples extant contemporary with Derain's
work? All the catalogued works by this artist are on canvas as far
as I can see.
