Subject: Academic program in monument restoration
**** Moderator's comments: The language in this post was quite difficult to understand; I hope my minor rewriting has not obscured any significant information. To celebrate its 20 years anniversary, the Materials Science Department (MSD) at the University of Alexandria has decided to found a new Diploma for monuments restoration. This will include theoretical teaching in addition to practical experience and experimental work. Graduated students will be invited [for onsite work? internships?] for two to three semesters in order to get the Diploma and consequently will be certified to deal with monuments. The design of this diploma necessitates the cooperation of different departments, faculties and institution within the University of Alexandria, as well as the technical support of Universities, research centers and others such as consulting companies, authorities, etc. [The program will receive?] financial support through the World Bank and the Tempus project. This support will be for financing needed equipment and instrumentation required by the project target, salaries and complete travel expenses for the research team, in addition to financing any workshops, meetings, and conferences needed by the project. In case you are interested in joining this project as an institution or on an individual basis, please kindly inform us about your potential participation in this project and give us your input for our proposal as soon as possible. Your soon positive response will be highly appreciated and will be considered as an excellent addition to the team members stated below.
