Paper conservator or paper conservation technician
Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC)

The Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC), located north of
Boston in Andover, Massachusetts, is offering a temporary full time
position for 6 to 12 months. This is an opportunity to spend a
concentrated amount of time at the bench in a spacious laboratory
with highly skilled and friendly colleagues. The position is
available right away and will remain open until filled.

The successful candidate will treat a variety of unbound materials
including manuscripts, maps, printed materials, architectural plans,
and works of art on paper. He or she should have had at least two
years experience working at the bench. More experienced conservators
are also encouraged to apply. We seek a person who is energetic,
flexible, and productive with a strong interest in hands-on work and
good communication skills. A willingness to work on oversized
materials is a decided advantage.
