Subject: FTIR spectra of organic pigments
Two years ago I was forwarded an email sent to irusers-l members concerning a collection of FTIR reference spectra of organic pigments, which was part of an American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) project to develop a test method to identify organic pigments in artists' colored pencils (ASTM D01-1116*). The spectra presently were available in .spa or .jdx formats by e-mail without charge, as three Winzip files, or they could be sent by mail to users unable to receive e-mail attachments. The contact was James Martin, President/Research Scientist at Orion Analytical, LLC. I tried contacting him by email, but no luck. Well, two years on, we have an FTIR spectrometer (yay!). Does anyone know if the irusers-l list is still operating and if the database is still available?
