Senior Conservator, Paintings Senior Conservator, Paper Chicago Conservation Center The Chicago Conservation Center <URL:http://www.chicagoconservation.com/> is a private conservation facility established in 1983. Twenty staff members specialize in the conservation of paintings, works of art on paper, textiles, murals, frames and objects. The Center is currently expanding the painting and paper departments and is seeking a Senior Conservator in each area. Responsibilities include examination, treatment and documentation of a wide variety of artifacts. The qualified candidate must be able to work independently in a small business setting. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's Degree, a graduate degree form a recognized training program, and several years of work beyond graduation. Candidates must be computer literate, have excellent written and verbal communication, and creative problem-solving skills. Benefits include vacation, health coverage and a retirement plan.
