Nitrile gloves

From: Will Jeffers <wjeffers>
Date: Monday, August 25, 2003
Further testing of chlorinated nitrile glove samples has indicated
that the corrosion exhibited during accelerated corrosion tests is
caused by an excess of a sulfur based neutralizing agent used during
the chlorination process.

The sulfur based compound can easily be detected by the sodium azide
test described by Daniels and Ward (Studies in Conservation, vol.
27, nr. 2, May 1982, pp. 58-60.).
