Workshop on electronic records in Cuba

The General Direction of Archives of the Republic of Cuba, with the
co-sponsorship of the Social Science Research Council is organizing
a workshop to train archivists and archival specialists in general
working in general archives from government agencies, companies and
other institutions and organizations on the topic of Concepts,
Technologies and Tools for Electronic Records Management, aimed at
training Cuban personnel in the adequate management of the
considerable volume of digital information being generated in the
country. The proposed dates for the workshop are November 17-20,
2003. We would like to count on your assistance, suggestions and
recommendations in finding a professor with the qualifications who
would be interested in teaching such a workshop and who would be
available on those dates. All accommodations and travel expenses
will be covered both by the Cuban partner and the SSRC. *No* Spanish
is required, for specialized translation services will also be
provided.
