Conservation Intern Chinati Foundation The Chinati Foundation, a contemporary art museum in West Texas founded by Donald Judd, seeks a Conservation Intern for one year. The successful candidate will primarily assist the full-time conservator in conducting a Detailed Condition Survey of the collection, as funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services; and a survey of environmental conditions within the exhibition and art storage spaces, as funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional duties include assistance with preparation and installation of temporary exhibitions and routine maintenance of the collection. Compensation: $16,000 stipend for one year. A furnished, one bedroom apartment is provided on the grounds of the museum and all utility costs are covered by the Chinati Foundation.
