This is an RSLP funded post for one year to work primarily on
seventeenth century wills and inventories,mainly on paper.There will
also be the opportunity to participate in a variety of tasks
undertaken by the Conservation Unit including book conservation,
preventive rehousing, environmental monitoring and exhibition
mounting.

The Assistant Conservator should be self-motivated,enthusiastic and
willing to work as part of a small team under the supervision of the
Senior Conservator. Applicants should be professionally qualified in
archive conservation,training in binding techniques and book
conservation would be an advantage. Applications are welcome from
newly qualified conservators as well as those with experience.

The salary will be at an appropriate point on grade D for technical
staff UKP15,053-17,880 per annum, according to qualifications and
