Short term vacancies for conservators
Australian National Maritime Museum

The Australian National Maritime Museum is seeking expressions of
interest from experienced Conservators for short term vacancies that
occur from time to time.  These vacancies when available will offer
a unique and challenging opportunity to contribute to Australia's
maritime heritage.

The vacancies will be at the level of APS Level 5 or APS Level 6 and
the current salary ranges are $45114 to $47838 and $48726 to $55972.
These salary rates will increase with effect from 1 July 2003.  The
vacancies are full-time but the Museum would be willing to consider
applications from those interested in part-time employment.  The
Museum is also seeking applicants from all specialist areas of
conservation.

The main duties of these vacancies will be to carry out preservation
and conservation  treatments in the area of object conservation,
participate in conservation projects including exhibition
developments and participate in preventative conservation.
