Conservator Arizona State Museum Arizona State Museum, University of Arizona, seeks to hire a conservator for a two-year staff position. The Arizona State Museum's mission is to promote understanding of and respect for the peoples and cultures of Arizona and surrounding regions. The successful candidate will work with other museum conservators responsible for the physical care, preservation, and conservation treatment of the collections. The activities of this position will focus primarily on the Museum's southwest ceramic vessel collection, which spans 2000 years. The preferred candidate will hold a bachelor's degree and be a graduate of a recognized graduate conservation program; OR have equivalent education, training, and experience. Experience treating archaeological objects is desired. Knowledge of issues regarding Native American material culture, archeology, and preventive conservation is recommended. Salary is commensurate with qualification plus a generous state benefits package.
