Conservator, Works of Art on Paper Sangorski and Sutcliffe and Zaehnsdorf Conservation Studios Shepherds Bookbinders Applications are invited for the post of Conservator, Works of Art on Paper Shepherds's busy conservation studios are based at our Rochester Row Site and offer a range of specialist treatments for the conservation of paper, archives and books. In conjunction with the fine bindery in Bankside we are able to offer a unique service for the care of books, paper and related materials. This new post will focus on the treatment of art on paper and be an important addition to our team of conservators supervised by the head of conservation, Frederick Bearman ACR MIPC The successful candidate will: hold a recognised professional conservation qualification; have at least 5 years experience; demonstrate extensive conservation experience in the treatment of art on paper including, watercolours, prints, drawings, photographs, archive materials etc and possess a working theoretical knowledge of paper and the above media. The ability to work to strict deadlines with minimal supervision is essential. Experience of working in a commercial conservation studio would be advantageous.
