The Second Forbes Symposium on Scientific Research in the Field of Asian Art will be held at the Freer Gallery of Art, Washington, DC, on September 18-20, 2003. The theme for the symposium will be: The pictorial arts of Asia--the impact of research using scientific methods on art history, curatorship, and conservation. The program for the symposium is given below. For those interested in attending the symposium, there will be no conference fee but registration is necessary. Space is limited.
