Subject: Lecture on 19th century book covers
Sue Allen, the foremost authority on 19th-century American bookbinding and book covers, will present a lecture at Princeton University on Thursday, June 26, 2003, at 5:00 PM in Room 101 of the Friend Center. The title of her illustrated talk is: "'This Most Miserable Muslin,' or How 19th Century Book Covers Became a Great Success." This illustrated lecture, free and open to the public, will be followed by a reception in the Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library, across the plaza from the Friend Center.
