I read with interest the latest two comments on dataloggers.  When
we purchased 50 (and then another 20) originally, we went with the
Veriteq Spectrum 2000.  These do not have a probe and are smaller
than the ACRs. However, they seem to be quite robust.  We use them
as part of a state-wide environmental monitoring program in which we
install them in from 14-16 libraries, archives.... for a period of 5
months twice a year.  Obviously, they have to deal consistently deal
with travel and being installed in a number of locations.  While we
have had some problems occasionally with the RH sensors, the service
from Veriteq has been excellent.  We are now on a program of sending
them back every 3-4 years for recalibration and a checkup just to
make sure that everything is working well.  They can be found at
