Subject: Dataloggers
I read with interest the latest two comments on dataloggers. When we purchased 50 (and then another 20) originally, we went with the Veriteq Spectrum 2000. These do not have a probe and are smaller than the ACRs. However, they seem to be quite robust. We use them as part of a state-wide environmental monitoring program in which we install them in from 14-16 libraries, archives.... for a period of 5 months twice a year. Obviously, they have to deal consistently deal with travel and being installed in a number of locations. While we have had some problems occasionally with the RH sensors, the service from Veriteq has been excellent. We are now on a program of sending them back every 3-4 years for recalibration and a checkup just to make sure that everything is working well.
