Analytical Chemist
Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE)

The Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE),
an internationally renowned organization specializing in the
scientific study of museum artifacts and their materials, has a job
opening for an Analytical Chemist. The incumbent provides expertise
and services in the examination and analysis of museum objects. The
ideal candidate will have a degree in Analytical Chemistry, Masters
preferred, and be experienced in at least one of the following
techniques: ICP-MS, LA-ICP-MS, XRD, XRF, and SEM-EDS. Experience
working with small samples and cultural materials is highly
