The Getty Grant Program

The Getty Grant Program, located at the Getty Center in Los Angeles,
California, seeks a Program Officer with broad knowledge of art,
architecture, conservation, and philanthropy. Reports to the
Director of the Grant Program and works as part of a team of senior
staff members. Primary responsibilities are for international,
national, and local architectural conservation grants. Participates
in policy development; seeks and develops grant opportunities;
manages inquiries, applications, and their review process; makes
recommendations for projects to be funded; and keeps informed about
active grants.

Qualifications include: a Master's degree in art and architectural
history or related area, Ph.D. preferred. Experience of 7-10 years
in a university, museum, foundation, or other cultural organization
setting; knowledge of architecture, preservation issues, and
international experience are important. Position requires excellent
analytical, organizational, and management skills, as well as
outstanding interpersonal ability in order to work effectively with
an international range of applicants, grantees, outside advisors,
and other experts. Knowledge of one or more foreign languages is
desirable.
