There is an immediate short-term (3 month contract) vacancy at the
Pitt Rivers Museum <URL:http://www.prm.ox.ac.uk> for a qualified
conservator.  The Pitt Rivers collections have designated status,
are of international importance and are wide ranging in their scope;
a similarly wide range of conservation experience is therefore being
sought, with particular emphasis on archaeological and ethnographic
conservation.  Interest and experience in computerisation,
environmental monitoring and disaster planning would be a
considerable advantage, as would a proven ability to meet deadlines,
flexibility and enthusiasm.  A recognised conservation qualification
and full driving licence are essential.
